Life is relational

We are relational beings, which means that everything we feel and do is the result of our relational connection with everything and everyone around us.  The need for relational activity constitutes life’s first imperative, without which human existence is not possible.

All relational activity must ideally coincide with the relational activity of those we are in relational contact with.  That being said, oftentimes it doesn’t.  When that happens, we find ways to separate ourselves from whatever it is that we feel is harming us and enter into a virtual, rather than concrete, way of relating to the world around us.
